From "Traveling Down Memory Lane" by Nella Gentis Short, "The Jenks Journal," Thursday, March 23, 1972:

"The recent death of our long time dear friend Iva Price, exemplifies one who never forgot to visit sick friends as well as newcomers. She and her husband, John Price, practiced this daily by doing errands for the sick, taking food, sharing the beautiful flowers grown at their home. Mrs. Price was in a nursing home at the time of her death. She had been a shut-in for four years. She was born near Mulberry, Arkansas. We often heard Mrs. Price tell of her great admiration for her step-father. Her passing leaves us sad to lose such a dear, long time friend. The memory of such a good Christian couple will remain lasting."
