  • Willard Augustus Otis Haynes was born on August 2, 1852 in Natick, Massachusetts. He was educated in the public schools of Natick and Sherborne, graduated from Barre (Vt.) Academy, in 1875 and from Amherst College in 1878, then read medicine for a year with Dr. A. H.
