  • Aaron K. Stevens was born on 9 August 1819 in Derry, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.2
  • He was the son of Samuel G. Stevens and Betsy Davis.1
  • Received an academic education; studied and practiced law; was a member of the legislature of the State of New Hampshire in 1849, 1854, 1856, and 1857; was county solicitor from 1856 until 1861; entered the Union army in 1861 as major of the 1st New Hampshire volunteers; was afterwards colonel of the 13th New Hampshire volunteers; commandant of a brigade, and brigadier general by brevet; was elected to the fortieth Congress, and was re-elected to the forty-first Congress as a republican' received 11,338 votexs, against 9,740 votes for Harrington, democrat.3
  • Aaron K. Stevens died on 10 May 1887 in Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, at age 67.2
