     This week we will begin extracting selected items from the OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE THIRTY-SIXTH ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE TEXAS PHARMCEUTICAL ASSOCIATION, HELD IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, JUNE 15, 16, 17, 1915. The volume was published in Dallas by the Johnston Printing & Adv. Co. (sic), probably in 1915. (Surnames are capitalized for emphasis.)

     Two group photographs of some of the people attending the convention are on page 2. Unfortunately, they do not furnish names of the individuals.

     Individual pictures of four officers of the Texas Pharmaceutical Association appear on page 16:

W. H. COUSINS of Dallas, Secretary Treasurer;

W. G. WILLMAN of Brownsville, Second Vice-President;

and Tom J. SNELL of Cooper, Fourth Vice-President.

     The report of A. M. FISCHER, also listed as First Vice-President, is reproduced on pages 18-19. Fischer stated that Sam HARBEN “moved that a committee of three be appointed to take charge of the President’s address and submit a report.” The motion was seconded by J. T. COULSON. The chair then named H. L. CARLETON, John WEEKS, and W. C. BURNS as the members of the committee.

     Bud A. RANDOLPH, “chemist and demonstrator of the Houston Ice & Brewing Co.,” announced a luncheon was to be served at the plant during the noon hour. A tour of the establishment was planned after the meal.

     Mrs. H. G. HENNE announced the meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary at the banquet hall of the city auditorium that afternoon.
