BOROWIEC WALTER, age 89, of Madison Heights, Michigan, passed away July 14, 2014. He was born December 2, 1924 in Detroit to the late Ludwig and Valeria Borowiec. Beloved husband of Joan (Turrell). Dear father of Cheryl (Gino) Centofanti, Sandra (Thomas) Eonta, Janice (Dan) Justice and the late Michael (Judy) Clees. Loving grandfather of 14 and predeceased by his grandson Michael Kevin Clees. Great-grandfather of 30. He retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII. He was a POW in Germany during the war. Walter was an avid golfer. Military Honors Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, today, July 17th. Arrangements by Hopcroft Funeral Home.
