Wayne D. Hotaling, 70, Windsor, died Saturday evening, May 30,1992, at Golden Valley Hospital. He was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Norton, Kan., son of Lionel Dewey and Elsa Pauline Shimonck Hotaling. On May 1, 1942, in Lincoln, he married Viola Schnirch, who survives of the home. Mr. Hotaling was a meat cutter at Gerbes Grocery Store, Windsor, for over 20 years, and also managed the store for several years, retiring Aug. 6, 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving five Bronze Stars. He was a member of American Legion, Windsor Veterans of Foreign Wars and Windsor United Methodist Church. Other survivors include his mother, of Stover, two sons, Wayne Junior Hotaling, Rolla, Mo.; Teny Lee Hotaling, Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Dor-thy Utterback, Carol Piper and Phyllis Schrader, all of Shawnee, Kan. Funeral Tuesday at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with the Rev Jim West. Burial in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. Contributions to the American Cancer Society.
