Out of the hundreds of entries received, Emily Tesarik, Route 2 Manitowoc, is winner of the $15 first prize in the Herald-Times Census Contest with an estimate that came within 73 of hitting this Official Field Report right on the nose. This was revealed in a checkup of contest entries after receipt of the report from Green Bay. Eleven prizes were awarded. The increase of 128 over the preliminary report is largely due to the Herald-Times and Chamber of Commerce campaign to uncover the names of all residents missed in the regular census canvas. Check Mailed Today Second prize of $10 goes to Martin Schrank, Route 4, Manitowoc, whose estimate of, 24.520 was 93 above the actual mark. In third place are Roy J. Rank, 905 South 26th street, and Elroy M. Rulseh, 1210 Wisconsin avenue, who both estimated 24,536, or 109 above the actual figure. Instead of splitting the third prize of $5 and the fourth prize of 13 between Rank and Rulseh the Herald-Times will award each a check for $5.
