Entry #255 - March 6, 1945 Co C: CP located near Roggendorf, Germany, (Approximately two miles from the Rhine River) suffered a direct hit by a heavy caliber German Artillery Shell. T/5 Malone was killed, 1st Sgt Russell, Pfc Whitney and T/5 Steidl were seriously injured and evacuated through medical channels. Capt Sewell escaped with cuts and bruises caused by the second story of the building collapsing.
