Mrs. Maude Osborn; Cherokee Resident

Mrs. Maude B. Osborn, 88, died Tuesday night in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee, after a one-week illness. She had been a resident of Cherokee since 1962. Prior to that she lived in Wahpeton, N.D.

Maude Foster was born May 10, 1888, in Cherokee County. In 1906, she married John T. Kneen. He preceded her in death in 1942. On Jan. 3, 1949 she married George E. Osborn. He died in 1962.

Mrs. Osborn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cherokee.

Survivors include sons, Marvin Kneen, Isle, Minn.; Chester Kneen, Cook, Minn., and Shelby Kneen, Cherokee; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Culver, Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and step-children, Leonard Osborn, Fairmont, Minn.; Wayne Osborn, Wahpeton; Mrs. Orville Kruschke, Morris, Minn.; Mrs. Clarence Ward, Breckenridge, Minn.; and Mrs. Kenneth Brovald, Anchorage, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Merle, in 1944, three brothers and a sister.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee. The Rev. Robert Noblitt will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Wood Cemetery, Austin, Minn.
