Trong Thi Nguyen ( Bung Y ) peacefully passed away on August 8, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. She Was 91 years old. Born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1913. Record keeping was not as it is here in America, so she chose july 30, the day she immigrated to the United States, as her birthday. She was an incredibly generous, loving, nurturing and compassionate person. She was an extremely devout Catholic and was a very proud and active member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church. She was so honored and thankful to have the privilege of living in the United States that at the age of 85, she became a naturalized citizen.
She is survived by a son Hue Van Nguyen of Saigon, Vietnam; and 4 daughters, Kiem Hue Nguyen of Othelo, WA, Dung Elizabeth Engley of East Wenatchee, Cuc Pham Rosenburger of East Wenatchee and Hong Kim Pham of Seattle; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren ; 2 more great grandchildren on the way; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and 3 grandchildren. She will be forever missed and loved.
A vigil ceremony will be held Wendsday, August 11, 2004 at Jones & Jones Funeral Home a 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, August 12, 2004, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Concluding services will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones & Jones Funeral Home.***
