The two photographs shown here were taken August 7, 1921 at
a family gathering to mark the 38th birthday of Henry Krell.
The location is unknown, although I think we can safely assume
that the photos were taken in Aurora County, SD.
The first of these two photos was taken on the porch of a
house. Then for some reason (perhaps to gain better lighting
or a more uniform background) the photographer moved the goup
around the corner to the adjoining side of the structure.
Note that the composition of the group varies slightly between
the photos.
