General Notes:
Aaron was a carpenter. They were living in Berwick by 1778, when Mary was admitted to the Second Church there. Aaron joined that church on November 24, 1782. It appears to be his family listed there at the 1790 census, consisting of two males over sixteen (Aaron and Aaron, Jr..), two males under sixteen (Moses and William), and three females (Mary, Mary, Jr.., and Bathsheba). He is probably the Aaron Roberts who was in Berwick in 1810, apparently with some other family members, with a family consisting of one male over 45, one male 26-45, one male 16-26, one male under 10, one female over 45, one female 26-45, and four females under 10.
Tate's Journal also records the birth of twins James and Mary Roberts, born August 1,1761 to Jane Mimmy, who "Swore on James Roberts" implying that they were his children. (NEHGR, January 1920, p.38) The journal later gives the dates of their birth as "Thursday, Aug. 1st 1771" and calls them James and Molly. (NEHGR1 July 19201 p.180) The latter entry is among many other events listed as occurring in 1771.
