General Notes:
In 1616 the Garland commanded by Sir Richard Hawkins, the
president of The Plymouth Company, docked at Monhegan Island,
off the coast of what is now Maine. Hawkins records that he
found there a fishing vessel out of London, the Nachen, whose
crew of 20 men included a Thomas Roberts.
It cannot be determined if this is the same Thomas Roberts. 58
