Stockmen Hold Meeting
A meeting of the stockmen of this locality was held in the courthouse on January 23 for the purpose of assisting the stockmen in the preparation of applications for grazing permits in Montana grazing district No. 5. Other business matters were also discussed. Among the ranchers who attended the meeting were: Frank Carey, Carey Quaintance, George Dawson, William Twhoy, Joseph and William Murphy, Antone Christianson, William Kyler, Toole Byers, Ted Knowles, James McGowan, Frances Wickham, Frances Ryan, Edward Ryan, Roy Murray, Louis Larson and Joseph Blazzina all of Boulder and Alfred Doughty of Radersburg, L. L. Lake of Basin, and Jack and Stanley Reilly of Wickes.

Injured in Mine Blast
Boulder, July 2.�Dewey L. Dawson received painful but not serious injuries last Friday evening when some caps accidentally went off, causing an explosion in the mine in which he was working. He and two others from this place, Francis Wickham and P. McGowan who are leasing the Ida mine several miles out of Boulder were getting the fue and caps ready in the evening in preparation for the following day�s work when on of the caps accidentally discharged causing the explosion and trowing hundreds of pieces of rock in Mr. Dawson�s face, head and hands. A miner�s hat he was wearing saved his eyes from the charge of rock. He was brought to Boulder for medical attention. Mr. Wickham received a slight injury in one hip and Mr. McGowan escaped unhurt.

In Helena Hospital
Three Boulder residents are patients in St. Peter�s hospital in Helena this week. All three are related. Mrs. Ella Moser and Sidney McCullough were rushed to the hospital for major operations and Mrs. William Flood is receiving medical attention there. All three entered the same hospital within a week. Mrs. Moser and Mr. McCullough are cousins and Mrs. Flood is their aunt.

John T. Wickham, 83, resident of the Boulder valley for 80 years, died about 6 o�clock last evening at the Fort Harrison veterans hospital where he had been admitted Aug. 2, after being in failing health for several months. Funeral services will be from St. Catherine�s church in Boulder. The body is at the Opp and Conrad funeral home.
