John and Catherine (Connelly) Terry Anniversary

Catherine (Connelly) Terry was a daughter of Hannah (McDonnell) Connelly. She married John H. Terry in July of 1878.She lived nearly her entire life in Ludlow, Kentucky, raising a family of 8 children. The identities of the people without notations in this article are not known.

John Terry and wife off 450 Elm-st., Ludlow, Ky., celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, Wednesday, with a dinner. The children of the couple will make up the guest list. Mr. John Terry,1 Toledo, O., John Hurley and wife,2 Joseph Terry and family,3 Florence McCarthy 4 and family of Toledo, O., Mr. George Terry,5 Edward Terry and wife,6 of Toledo, O., Louis Sterman and wife, Raymond DeLanter, Toledo, O., Mrs. Hooper and daughter Elizabeth,7 Miss Helen Topmiller, Miss Elsie Meyerose, Virginia Hooper of Detroit, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Terry were married in Florence, Ky., 1878.
1 John, born April 1880 in Kenton County, Kentucky, was John and Catherine's eldest child. He married Rebecca Purvis in 1900, they had a daughter named Myrtle. They were divorced in 1920.
2 John Hurley was the husband of their daughter Mary. They had four children.
3 Based on census information, Joseph seems to have married his brother Charles' widow, Anna (Hooper) Terry. Charles died of cancer in 1924. Joseph and Anna were married about 1926. Anna had three daughters by Charles, which must be the family referred to. I have not found evidence that Anna had children with Joseph.
4 Florence McCarthy was the husband of their daughter Julia. They had nine (known) children.
5 As far as is known, George did not marry.
6 Edward married a woman named Bedelia about 1923.
7 Mrs. Hooper is Margaret (Davis) Hooper, mother of Anna (Hooper) Terry.
