Hughes           The undersigned applicant for a Marriage License, being sworn, states that   He   is of the age of   27   years and upwards, and a resident of   Omaha     County  and State of   Neb  , and that   She   is of the age of   24  years and upwards, and a resident of   Co Bluffs     County , and State of   Ia  ; that said parties are both unmarried, and free from physical infirmities, and no legal impediment exists to the marriage of said parties, as I verily believe.   Jno. M. Mullen                               Subscribed and sworn to before me this   4   day of  April  189  4     T. S. Campbell   Clerk District Court.         And the said _________ being a minor, came also _________ the _________ of said minor, and filed ________ consent to the marriage of the said parties. _________________                     AND BE IT FURTHER REMEMBERED, That afterwards, to-wit: on the   20th   day of   Nov.   A. D.   1909   there was filed in the office of the Clerk of the District Court, a certificate of marriage, in the words and figures following, to-wit: CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE To the District Court of Pottawattamie County, Iowa:         THIS CERTIFIES, That on the   5   day of   Sept   A. D. 189  4  , at  Council Bluffs   in said County, according to law, and by authority, I duly JOINED IN MARRIAGE   John M. Mullen   and   Cecilia A. Hughes                 Given under my hand the  5  day of   Sept.   189  4     Patrick Smyth 1             1 Very Rev. Patrick Smyth succeeded Rev. B. P. McMenomy as pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa about 1892.
