Your Petitioner respectfully represents that -
Catharine Hughes of Said County Iowa Dced on or about the 2nd day of February 1885 possessed of goods and estate of the probable volume of Eight Hundred Dollars remaining to be administered and there is delay in granting letters Testamentary on her Estate by reason of the will of Deceased not being proven. That your Petitioner is a Son in Law of Deceased and is interested in Said Estate. He therefore Prays that he may be appointed Special Administrator of the Estate of said Deceased and may be authorized to take charge of the Real Estate of the Said Deceased and may be authorized collect rents and make necessary repairs and also take charge of and preserve the personal property thirts(?) belonging

Comes now John Coyle and in pursuance to order of Court files his report as such administrator and for such report states
1 That there was no money came into his hands as such administrator
2nd There was no personal property of any kind to administer upon
3rd That he diligently inquired and found no debts oweing by the said Estate
4th That he has not now and at no time since his appointment has had any information or knowledge of any thing due the Estate

5th Deceased left a will conveying all the interest she had in any property in the world in so far as he has any information of, to her children one of whom was the wife of Petitioner said property being and consisting wholly of a one third interest in a homstead of value of about ($975.00 total) Decd interest $325, and some few articles of household furniture of but little value.
James Coyle husband of one of said Devisees purchased the several shares of the Devisees and they deeded same to him same being a small house on Corner of Bluff & Worth Street Council Bluffs Iowa.
Your Petitioner therefore asks that he be finally discharged as such administrator.

To the creditors and all parties interested in said estate:
You are hereby notified that there is now on file the final report of above named administrator and petition for his final discharge in the office of the clerk of the district court of said county, Iowa and hearing will be had on the same on the first day of the next term of the district court of the said county, Iowa, at Council Bluffs, the 27th day of August, 1889, and said report will be approved and the prayer of said petition granted, unless you appear at said time and show cause why same should not be done.
