Charles L. Bishop
(1846 - 1918)

Charles L. Bishop was born in December 1846 in Ohio, most likely Knox County. His parents were probably Daniel and Joanna Bishop, of Rhode Island and Pennsylvania, respectively. He appears to have lived in or near Centerburg, Knox County, Ohio all his life. He enlisted as a Private in the Civil War on 22 August 1862 at the age of 18, and served for a year in Company F, 121st Infantry Regiment Ohio, being discharged on 15 August 1863. Charles married Adaline (maiden name unknown) in about 1876. They had three children, Fred C., Harry C. (married Mary Alice Kilduff) and Ethel O. (married Guy Hulse).
