Elizabeth P. McDonald was the daughter of Donald A. McDonald and Elizabeth T. "Bess" McDonnell. She was born in Seattle, Washington and lived there all her life. She married George H. Parsons II on 26 June 1934. They had four children.

Elizabeth McDonald Parsons
February 22, 1911 - December 26, 2005
Elizabeth passed away December 26, 2005 at her home in the Horizon House. Elizabeth McDonald Parsons was born February 22, 1911 to Judge Donald and Bess McDonald. She grew up on Queen Anne Hill and attended both the University of North Dakota and University of Washington where she was affiliated with Delta Gamma Sorority. In 1934 she married George Parsons. They built their home in Laurelhurst where they raised their family and lived for over 50 years. Elizabeth enjoyed many years of sailing on their schooner the Red Jacket, golfing, swimming, traveling and most importantly her many friends and family. She will be well remembered for her friendly personality and her contagiously wonderful laugh. The room would become brighter when she walked in. She spent her winters in Honolulu for almost 50 years. Her daily ocean swim with her friends was one of her most enjoyable activities. Elizabeth was a member of St Stephens - Seattle and St Clements - Honolulu Episcopal Churches, Seattle Golf Club, Sunset Club, Washington Athletic Club, Seattle Yacht Club and the Outrigger Canoe Club - Honolulu.

She was preceded in death by her husband George and brother Fredrick A McDonald. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her many friends and her family. She leaves behind two sons - Judson (Diana) and George (Teresa) and two daughters Nancy McDonald (Bruce) and Alice Petrich (Jerry) six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2006 at St. Stephen Episcopal Church, 4805 NE 45th Street, Seattle. Donations and remembrances may be sent to Children's Hospital. Arrangements by Bonney-Watson.
