Frank Edward Coyle
(1880 - 1949)


Frank E. Coyle was the second of John and Anne (Hughes) Coyle's three children. He married Abbie G. Hartenhoff in 1915, they had two daughters. His obituary states that he was a Council Bluffs resident for 50 years, the other 19 were spent in South Dakota, where he and his brother John homesteaded. He is enumerated living there in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 US censuses.

Obituaries
Frank Coyle
      Frank Edward Coyle, 69, 419 South Twenty-fourth street, died Friday at a local hospital following a brief illness.
      A retired farmer, he had been a local resident for 50 years. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the Holy Name society.
      Survivors include his widow Abbie; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Foster of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Katherine Toelle, with whom he made his home; a brother, John Coyle of San Diego, Calif., and four grandchildren.
      From Monday noon until time for funeral, the body will be at the residence. Beem-Belford funeral home is in charge.

      The Rev. William Coughlan will celebrate requiem mass at 9 a. m. Tuesday at Holy Family church for Frank E. Coyle, 69, 419 South Twenty-fourth street. The body will be at the residence until the hour of service. Beem-Belford funeral home is in charge.

      COYLE, Frank E. 419 So. 24th., age 69, died Saturday.
      Funeral services Tuesday, 9. a. m., Holy Family church, the Rev. William Coughlan celebrating requiem mass. Burial, St. Joseph's cemetery. Body in state at residence from Monday afternoon until time of service. Beem-Belford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
