Francis Eugene "Frank" DeCoursey
(1916 - 2005)
Frank was the son of Francis C. "Frank" and Catherine C. "Kate" (Cotter) DeCoursey, the eldest of their nine children. He was born and grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Frank married Ruth E. Dugan (born in Toledo, Ohio) in 1941, they had 7 children. It appears that shortly after their marriage they moved to Wichita, Kansas where Frank ran the DeCoursey Creamery Co. there. He lived there the rest of his life.

Frank E. DeCoursey, 89, retired Banker and President of DeCoursey Cream Company of Wichita and graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005. Visitation at 6 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita. Service 1 p.m. Saturday, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Andover, KS.He was preceded in death by parents, Francis and Catherine DeCoursey; wife, Ruth Dugan DeCoursey; brother, Joseph DeCoursey; and sisters, Rita DeCoursey, Mary Martin, Loretta Foster, Lorraine DeCoursey and Jean Morrisey. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Frank and Anne DeCoursey, Jr. of Prairie Village, KS; Patrick DeCoursey and Rene Franco of Dallas, TX, Dan DeCoursey and Dean DeCoursey, both of Prairie Village, KS; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Bob O'Connor of Wichita, KS, Ruth and Jim Holmes of Roeland Park, KS, and Mary Beth and Pat Regan of Wichita, KS; sisters, Helen Ruysser and Teresa Foley; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Priests' Retirement and Education Fund, 424 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202 and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N. Andover Rd., Andover, KS 67002.
