DEATH OF MRS. J. FRANK COAD
Was a Shock to Her Many Friends in the Community.
The sudden and untimely death of Mrs. J. Frank Coad, who died of heart failure at her home, Twentieth and I streets, Saturday evening, cast a gloom upon the entire community.
Mrs. Coad was apparently in good health and spirits when her husband returned from his desk at the Packers' National bank Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Coad dined together, and it was shortly after the meal that she was stricken. Dr. W. J. McCrann states that the immediate cause of Mrs. Coad's death was rheumatism of the heart. She was dying when the doctor arrived at 6:30.
Mrs. Coad was a charming lady, much devoted to her home, her friends and her children. She was regarded as a woman of high Christian character, charitably inclined and of a lovable disposition. She was much beloved by all who knew her.
Mrs. J. M. Mullen and Mrs. Charles Fox of this city are sisters of the deceased, while in Council Bluffs, her old home, reside her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hughes, and three brothers, G. F., J. J., and M. D. Hughes. The family is one of the oldest and best known in the Bluff city.
The funeral will be held Tuesday. The cortege will leave the residence, 901 North Twentieth Street, at 8 o'clock, going thence to St. Frances' church, Council Bluffs, where services will be held at 9:30 o'clock.
