SCANLON.�At Lyndon, Feb. 21, 1886, Mary, aged 52 years, wife of Michael Scanlon, of Seven Mile Creek.
Funeral services at St. Mary�s Church, Lyndon, Tuesday, February 23, at 10 o�clock, a. m. High Mass was celebrated by the pastor, Rev. John Meurs, who as usual delivered a very toughing and interesting sermon. Subject, �Immortality of the soul and mortality of the body.� A subject that the large number of people in the church paid the strictest attention to. There were over one hundred teams in the procession; they were there from far and near attending her funeral which testified to the high regard in which the deceased was held by all who knew her. She was a good Christian, a kind mother, and her children will long remember their kind and loving mother who has passed away to that land whence none return. May she rest in peace.
