Charles was the youngest of Michael J. Mullen and Catherine McDonnell's eight children, and a brother of John, who married Cecilia Hughes. Both of his parents were born in County Galway, Ireland. Charles was born in Cincinnati, Ohio around the time of his father's death in 1875. Within a few years after he was born his mother moved the family back to Omaha, Nebraska where they had lived briefly around 1868. He spent the rest of his life there, dying at the age of 24 of tuberculosis. He is buried in his parents' family plot in St. Joseph New Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Related Items:
