DeCOURSEY -- Mary Louise, 97, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Tulsa Jewish Retirement Center, where she had made her home for the last 7 years. Mary Louise was born April 6, 1907 to John and Cecilia (Hughes) Mullen in Omaha, NE. She graduated high school in Omaha and went on to college where she studied fine arts. She then was employed by Dr. Clifford Mullen, Optometrist in Kansas City, KS where she met her husband of 25 years. They made their home in Tulsa in 1946 where Edwin became President of Pure White Dairy. Mary Louise was a charter member of the Church of St. Mary and a member of St. John Hospital Auxiliary.She is survived by: a daughter, Shiela Kennedy and husband, Robert of Houston, TX; 4 sons, Jerome and wife, Eva of Sweden, John and wife, Kathy of Tulsa, Raymond and wife, Wilma of Tulsa and Richard and wife, Marcia of Loveland, OH. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Erica and Emily of Sweden, Tim, Stacey Guske, Matt and Neal of Houston, Meaghan and Erin of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. in 1965 and a son, Edwin M. Jr. in 1999.
A rosary and visitation will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, May 20, with Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., Friday, May 21, both services at The Church of St. Mary with interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Mary University, Leavenworth, KS, Duchesne Academy, Omaha, NE, or to Boystown, Omaha, NE. The Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 585-1151.
