Patrick H. "Paddy" Wickham, Jr.
(1867 - 1937)


Patrick was the son of Patrick and Margaret (Doyle) Wickham, the fifth of their eleven children. He was born in Boulder Valley, Jefferson County, Montana on March 17, 1867. His parents had moved there in about 1865 from Council Bluffs, Iowa where the rest of his father's family lived, via Colorado. Both his parents were born in Ireland. Like his father, Paddy was a general farmer and stock farmer. He married Hellen Harrington of Iowa in July 1913. They had no children. Around 1927 Paddy and Helen moved to Spokane, Washington, where he died in 1937 at the age of 70.

FORMER RESIDENT PASSES
      Boulder, July 11.-(Special)-Word has been received here of the death of P. H. (Paddy) Wickham, on July 4 at Spokane, Wash. Death was attributed to a paralytic stroke. He had been ill only a short time. Burial was in Spokane.
      Mr. Wickham was born in Boulder valley on March 17, 1868.1 He followed the occupation of ranching and cattle raising in this vicinity until about 10 years ago, when he and his wife moved to Spokane to make their home, retiring from active work.
      He was one of 11 children being survived besides his wife Nell, two brothers Frank and John of Boulder and Mrs. Agnes Hossfeldt of Butte and several nieces and nephews. His brother Frank went to Spokane to attend the funeral.
