Saturday, November 13, 1999, p. B6Robert Ellis Guilfoil D.V.M., 78, Lenexa, KS, passed away Thursday, November 11, 1999, at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, at Holy Trinity Chapel in Lenexa, KS. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Kansas City Hospice, 12006 W. 87th St. Pkwy, Lenexa, KS, 66215.
Dr. Guilfoil was born in Kansas City, KS, and was a lifelong area resident. From the time he was four years old until two years ago, Bob spent treasured family summers on Crooked Lake in Deerfield, MN.
He received bachelor and veterinary degrees from Kansas State University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Dr. Guilfoil served on the Kansas State Board of Health and was a director of Kaw Valley Bank. He owned Guilfoil Serum Company and the Animal Orphanage. Dr. Guilfoil was an Army veteran. His wife, June M. Guilfoil, died on February 8, 1996. He leaves his children and their spouses, Anne and Bruce Whilton, Punta Gordo, FL, John P. and Kim Guilfoil, Greenville, TX; and five grandchildren, David S. Cluett and Laura A. Cluett, Gloucester, MA, Robert Wayne Guilfoil, Michael James Guilfoil, and Christopher Lee Guilfoil, Greenville.
