"Mrs. Arthur Koenig rites scheduled Wednesday"

Oronoco - The funeral for Mrs. Arthur C. Koenig, 82, of Oronoco, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco, with burial in Oronoco Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Berg will officiate. Mrs. Koenig died Monday at Lake City Hospital. She had been living at Lake City Nursing Home since October 1961.
The former Frieda Ihrke, she was born Jan. 9, 1902, on Oronoco Township, where she lived all her life. She married Mr. Koenig May 14, 1925, in Oronoco, and the couple farmed. He died May 25, 1973.
She is survived by two sons, Duane and Allen, both of Oronoco; a daughter, Mrs. James (Lois) Klindworth of Lake City; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters.
Mrs. Koenig was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was active in ladies aid. Friends may call at Ranfranz Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight and at the church one hour prior to service.

Emma Marie Wenzel ---- Rochester
Rochester---- The funeral for Emma Marie Wenzel will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. John Schleicher officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester.
Mrs. Wenzel, 95, of Bear Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rochester, died Friday (Feb. 11, 2000) at the center.
Emma Marie Kuehn, was born Oct. 14, 1904 in Rochester. On Sept. 25, 1929, she married Leland Wenzel in Rochester. Mr. Wenzel died in 1971. Mrs Wenzel was a homemaker. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and was active in quilting bees and enjoyed raising chickens.
Survivors include one brother, Herman Kuehn of Rochester. Two infant children, three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
