Birth Note:

Birthdate, Exact Year is unknown (Date has since been found as 1831): The Chatfield Democrat dated Saturday, December 8. 1888 stated that " A party of friends and relatives of O.H. Chapmans numbering about 40 gathered at his residence last Saturday night much to the surprise of the host & hostess. The occasion was Mr. Chapman's birthday, though he generally calls November 30th the time, but Saturday seemed to suit the convenience of the party the best. A very pleasant evening was passed by all present. A number of useful and handsome presents were left as a token of the esteem in which Mr. Chapman is held by his friends. On of the most pleasant features of the evening was the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. H.A. Robinson of Faribault who came in with the rest of the company.

1880 Census in Minnesota listed birthplace as NY.

LDS Record also lists NY as birthplace
