The regular meeting of Pack 203 was held on Monday, January 29 at the Immaculate Conception Church. The next two months are going to be a very busy time for the Cub Scouts. The calendar of important events for February is: Feb. 3, Cut Scout Sunday. All cubs are to be at Immaculate Conception Church by 9:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Family members are welcome. Feb 3 thru 9 - Cub Scout Week. A window display of articles made by the Cub Scouts will be at Roberts Office Supply, Main Street, LaGrange. Feb. 8 - Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. The banquet will be held at Immaculate Conception Cafeteria at 2 p.m. Parents, please mark your calendars and plan to attend and participate in these events. Awards were given to the following boys: Jeff Carey, Wolf Badge, Mike Bray, Wolf Badge, Gold Arrow, Silver Arrow; Curt Lindemaier, Cub of the Month Award; Robert Langden, Gold Arrow, Silver Arrow, and Cub of Month, Billy Kinser, Gold Arrow and Silver Arrow; Gabe Ray, Wolf Badge, Gold Arrow and Silver Arrows. Webelos receiving awards were: LeLand Coco, Jay Rawlings and Chris Dodd each received Science Award; Don Carey, Science Award, Outdoors Award, Engineer Award and Cub of the month. Daniel White and Jeff Carey graduated from the Bear into the Webelos. Leland Coco presented the scarf and flag to these boys. A group of young men from the Roederer Farm Center presented a skit on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. The group told of life in prison and what it is really like. A question and answer period was held after the program. The gentlemen presenting the program were Barry Goodwin, Mike Whitehouse, James Tolliver, Jerry Atkins, Billy Adams, William Weaber and William Clay. | |
