Brother Vernon Thompson was born October 7, 1912, and passed away October 20, 1986. He joined Pilgram's Rest Church in 1964 at Dayton, Ohio. He later moved his letter to Cannon Creek, where he was a faithful member until God called him home. He leaves his wife, sister Carrie Beason Thompson, three sons, one daughter, and three granddaughters to mourn his passing.
Vernon married Carrie BEASON daughter of D. P. BEASON and Martha E. DAVIS. Carrie was born on 17 Mar 1921 in , Bell County, Kentucky. She died on 5 Sep 1988 in , Bell County, Kentucky.

Sister Carrie Thompson was born March 17, 1921 to Elder D. P. Beason and Martha Beason, and fell asleep in Jesus September 5, 1988. She united with Cannon Creek Primitive Baptist Church June 1951 and was a faithful member and supporter of the faith until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brother Vernon Thompson. Survivors include 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 5 sisters, on brother, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
