Welcome to P a s t L i v e s

The picture above is of Dunedin - Otago - New Zealand. This is where the KYLE, FRANKLYN and BROOK ancestors arrived in the country between 1874 and 1903. The LOOMES connection arrived in Lyttleton, Canterbury in 1874 and stayed in the South Canterbury area all their life.

This site was set up for the families of Glenda and David to view some parts of their respective families. As I get more experienced I hope to make the site a bit more "up market".

I must thank some people first because not all of this work is mine. In respect of FRANKLYN I first thank Jan Franklyn of Melbourne. Jan's historical information is absolutely fantastic. The Late Richard Wildridge also supplied me with a heap of information. On the New Zealand side I must thank Averil Kerslake from Nelson for giving me the Nelson area Franklyn line. The KYLE information is all my doing although recently I have been helped greatly by Yvonne Scott of Invercargill. I was given information on the BROOK family (which started off the New Zealand connection) by Fern Gould in Dunedin; it had seemingly been handed down from David's father but I discovered there had been quite a lot of wrong information had been handed down. The LOOMES family was mainly done by Sandy Isbister of Golden Bay, New Zealand and Brian Speechly of Wellington who gave me his line. All these people have allowed me to make this site and through my Brothers Keeper Genealogy program make "trees" travelling back several generations.
