After Genevieve's death, Dennis was adopted in 1945 by Lewis & Hattie Elgord (Genevieve's half-sister) and renamed Dennis Dean Elgord.
Dennis attended Kindergarten in Lynwood, California.
He went to school at Baptist Elementary School in Compton, California; graduated June 16, 1954
1955: Instead of high school, he attended Brown Military Academy in Pacific Beach, California.
Worked in Lynwood for a traveling cookware demonstration company; married his boss,
Elizabeth (Betty) A. Joki. They got an apartment on Imperial Highway, across from St. Francis Hospital.
About 1986 he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
1987: he was an inpatient at St. Mary's Hospice, Milwaukee, where he died.
