Emlyn Gardens Council Flats - Shepherds Bush includes 1945 Victory Party
End of 1939 we moved from Leamore St to Emlyn Gardens.
They had ornate high iron railings around the flats these soon went to support
the war effort.
Large dormitory shelters were dug into the grassy courtyards.
Big Celebration with the end of the war.

R is me sitting at table chin on hand in my court jester suit with the ears.
At concert I did farm yard animal noises
As in "the cow goes moo-moo-moo"
Aunt Flo was overcome with my performance.
She was still laughing when we visited her in 1989.
