Margaret Sarah Melin, 57, lifetime resident of Garfield, Minn., passed away Wednesday, June 2, at the Douglas County North Hospital. Miss Melin was born October 23, 1913, the daughter of A. Victor Melin and Minnie Peterson. She was confirmed at the Lake Chippewa Covenant Church of Garfield and graduated from the Alexandria High School in 1932.

Surviving are her one sister, Lillian Melin, Fergus Falls, Minn. and one brother Fred Melin of Garfield.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, 1971 at the Alexandria Funeral Home in Alexandria. Rev. Arthur Bergman officiating.

Pallbearers were Halvar Erickson, Wilmer Johnson, Edwin Sanstead, Arvid Peterson, Gerald Johnson, Gustav Johnson.

Soloist was Mrs. Lester Olson accompanied by Mrs. Aaron Anderson.

Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Services were directed by Alexandria Funeral Home.
