Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock at the Garden Valley church for Mrs. Ellen T. Moe of Charlson, who passed away January 20th at her home after an illness of 8 days. Death was caused by a paralytic stroke.
Mrs. Moe was 90 years, 8 months and 6 days of age at thetime of her death, being born in Stjordalen, Norway on May 14th, 1844.
She was united in marriage to Lars H. Moe in Norway in the year 1868, her husband passing away in 1890. Six children were born to this union, three sons and three daughters. She is survived by two sons, Halvor L. Moe of Watford City, and Bert L. Moe of Charlson, and by a daughter Ellen Martha Moe of Charlson, the others preceding her in death.
With her family, Mrs. Moe immigrated to America in April, 1906, and after spending several months at Brandon, Minnesota, came to McKenzie county where she made her home until her death. She is also survived by nine grand children and eight great grand children.
Interment was made in the Garden Valley cemetery, Rev. Eriksen of Banks conducting funeral services.
