  You are hereby Licensed and permitted to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony, according to Law and established rules, Mr. M^c H. Goree and Miss Sarah Bradford.

  Given under my hand and Seal of Office as Clerk of the District Court in and for the parish of Grant, this 15^th day of January A. D. 1885.

  Be it remembered, that on the 15 day of Jan A. D. 1885 Mr. M^c. H. Goree and Miss Sarah Bradford personally appeared before me, G W Bruce J. P. in and for the parish of Grant, together with O A Tison Jes Coleman all witnesses, of full age and resident in the said parish, and then and there the said Mr. M^c. H. Goree and Miss Sarah Bradford having produced the License required by law, and signified their intention before us, the said G W Bruce J. P. and witnesses, to be united in the state of Matrimony.

  Whereupon, after due proclamation being made, and no impediment being suggested, the said M^c. H. Goree and Miss Sarah Bradford were, in the presence of said witnesses, joined in Wedlock according to the laws of the State of Louisiana, and by me, the said G W Bruce J. P. duly pronounced to be Husband and Wife.

  In testimony whereof the Parties to the said Marriage hereunto affix their signatures, together with me the said G W Bruce J. P. and the aforesaid witnesses, on this the __ day of 15 A. D. 1885, at M^c Goree La, in the parish aforesaid.
