To any regularily [sic] ordained Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the Dist. Court, or any Justice of the Peace - Greeting. You are hereby authorised to join in the Holy Estate of Matrimony Mr. D. A. Pattillo and Miss Phoebe Allen, and for so doing this shall your sufficient authority and due return of your proceedings hereon make to me at my office in the town of Orange within sixty days as the law directs.

Given under my hand and the seal of the Dist. Court of Orange Co. as officer on this 7^th day of January A.D. 1873.
