Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Bradford, 77, who died at the home of her son, Hiram L. Bradford, in Joyce August 4, were held at the Joyce Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. B. R. Deen, Methodist minister officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Lloyd Lisenby and Rev. E. H. Hayes. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
Acting as pallbearers were grandsons, Jack Sweat, Kenneth Bradford, Bobby Ray Bradford, Ralph Bradford, Carol Autrey, and James Autrey.
A native of Amite, La., Mrs. Bradford spent most of her life in Georgetown. She had been residing with her son in Joyce for the past four years. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Surviving are six sons, Hiram L. of Joyce; Charle Thomas, James Ozroe, William Lilton, and Harvey Watson, of Georgetown; and Wade W. of Jonesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Earl Sweat (Lois) and Mrs. J. B. Autrey (Bernice) of Georgetown; Mrs. C. E. Autrey (Mae) of Ft. Worth, Texas.
