WALTER GOREE

OAKDALE, LA - (Special) Funeral services for Walter Goree are set for 3:30 p.m. today in the Glenmora Baptist Church.. Rev. Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Glenmora cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.

Goree, 60, died at the family residence Sunday, Oct. 18, 1953. His death was attributed to a heart attack. He is survived by five sons, Walter Goree, Houston, Mack, Billie and Bobby Goree, all of Glenmora, and James Goree, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Miss Ruth Goree, Glenmora, Mrs. Melder Morgan, San Francisco and Mrs. Bety Perriett, Houston; one brother Clifford Goree, Pineville; four sisters, Mrs. Wilda Bell, Beaumont, Mrs. Ella Johnson, Glenmora, Mrs. Melva Bell, Dry Prong, and Mrs Mary Zimmerman, Willis, Tex.
