John Larter - Cartoonist. Born in 1950 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. Work - The Lethbridge Herald, 1974. The Edmonton Sun, 1978. The Toronto Star as editorial cartoonist,1980. The Calgary Sun editorial cartoonist, 1989.

Patricia Larter - Painter. Exhibits at the Legge Gallery. Born in the UK 1936 and moved to Australia in 1962.

Lorna Larter - Australian woman cricket player. Born 28 November 1923, Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia. Also known by the name Lorna Beal.

David Larter - Football player of Montrose Football club, Scotland, UK.

Scott Larter - Golfer of Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Born 7th October 1977. Parents - Brian Larter and Sue. Has one brother, Todd; and one sister, Rebecca.

Larter & Sons - A New York jewelry business that started in 1865 as 'Larter, Elcox & Co'. The business was taken over in 1905 by Frederick H Larter who then changed the name to 'Larter & Sons'. (Family history informatuion has been requested. Now waiting for response.)

Samuel Robert Larter - Town Councillor. Born 2nd December 1852 in Battersea, Surrey, England. Emigrated to the Cape in Africa, and after retiring from business he became a Town Councillor in March 1907. He lost his postion in 1910, and later died on the 12th December 1918.
