Interment, Grace Cemetery, Castile. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice. Buffalo News Obituary - October 9 , 1998 Edwin J. Rammacher, 76, of Gainesville, retired farm employee and a World War II veteran, died Wednesday (Oct. 7, 1998) at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw after a long illness. Rammacher, who was born in Springbrook, served in the Army during World War II and returned to the area to work on farms. He worked for South View Farms in Castile for 27 years until his retirement in 1993. His first wife, the former Dorothy Arndt, died in 1991. Survivors include his wife, the former Myrtle Arndt, a sister of his first wife; two daughters, Virginia Traufler of Silver Springs and Katherine Tice of New Port Richey, Fla.; a son, Joseph of Castile; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Dick of Friendship; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, 35 North Main St., Castile. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Castile.
