Welcome Back	My New Year's Wish is that someone on the Darke County page will help me fill in some blanks for some ancestors who at one time lived in Darke County. My great-grandfather, Abraham NESBITT (Nisbit/Nesbit) married Elanor GILBERT in Darke County in 1847 (Darke County Marriages, Book 3/Page 134). I find them in the 1850 Darke County/Brown Township Census along with two children - William I (age 3) and Mary E. (age 2). Abraham NESBITT moved to Auglaize County by 1860 and to Van Wert County around 1890. Elanor GILBERT is not found in the 1860 census so I am assuming that she died some time between 1850 and 1860. Abraham NESBITT married two times after his marriage to Elanor GILBERT. He married Mary Preston in Auglaize County and after her death, he married someone named Susannah.
