RUSHTON, Joseph - D9/1/1843 - At Cally House, near Gatehouse, on the 9th inst., Mr Joseph Rushton, aged 85. He was a native of Macclesfield in Cheshire, and for upwards of half a century had been in the employ of the late James Murray, Esq., of Broughton, and of Alexander Murray, Esq., M.P. for the Stewartry.

RUSSELL, James - D3/5/1845 - At Skeldon gatehouse, parish of Dalrymple, on the 3d inst., Mr James Russell, aged 94. He was the oldest inhabitant of the parish.

RUSSELL, John - D10/2/1845 - At Glenluce, on the 10th instant, Mr John Russell, pensioner, aged 57 years. He was one of the veterans who fought at Saragossa and Waterloo.

RUSSELL, Mary - D29/4/1846 - At Newton Stewart, on the 29th ult., Mary Russell, at the advanced age of 93 years.

RUSSELL, Matthew - D18/1/1845 - At Dumfries, on the 18th inst., of consumption, Matthew Russell, upholsterer, aged 23 years.

RUTHERFORD, Mary - D23/1/1871 - At Castle-Douglas, on the 23d ult., Mary Rutherford, aged 66 years.

RUTHVEN, Lord James - D27/7/1853 - On the 27th ult., at Freeland, Perthshire, James, Lord Ruthven, aged 75.

RUTLEDGE, Mrs. Thomas - D21/4/1843 - At Sanguhar Manse, on Friday, the 21st ult., of dropsy - Mrs Thomas Rutledge, aged 41 years. much regretted.
