Will of John WATSON, 1860

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me JOHN WATSON of Normanton on Soar in the County of Leicester Farmer whereby I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease after which I give and bequeath all my farming stock both quick and dead all my household furniture, money and  securities for money and all my real and personal estates of which I may stand possessed at the time of my decease unto my dear wife ELIZABETH WATSON for her own use and enjoyment and for the term of her natural life and at her death then I give and bequeath the whole unto my dear children in equal proportions, but in case of any of my children should die in their mother’s life time, and without leaving any lawful issue then in such case or if only one child be living at its mother’s death I give and bequeath the whole of my property to such only child. and I give and bequeath the same absolutely.  I hereby nominate and appoint my Brother THOMAS WATSON of Stenson and my brother JOSEPH WATSON of Willington Hill their heirs Executors and assignees as Trustees and Executors of this my Will.  In witness whereof I the Testator JOHN WATSON have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty………..John Watson……..

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator JOHN WATSON as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved on the 22nd July 1861 by the oaths of THOMAS WATSON and JOSEPH WATSON the brothers of the deceased, the Executors named in the said Will.
