Obituary*16 January 2008 GREENVILLE - Coy Monroe Culpepper, 99, resident of National Health Care of Mauldin, widower of Kathleen Pittman Culpepper, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008.
     A native of Gainesville, Ga., son of the late John T. and Thursia Phagin Culpepper, he was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck and Co. after 24 years of service and a member of City View Baptist Church, Greenville. He was a former Sunday school teacher and deacon at his previous church, Monaghan Baptist Church. Mr. Culpepper was a lifetime member of Sam Poe Masonic Lodge. Special thanks go to the nurses and staff of National Health Care of Mauldin.
     Surviving are two sons, Donald V. Culpepper of Greenville and Dr. David M. Culpepper of Florence; a half-brother, Barnell Culpepper of Greenville; four grandchildren, Van, Steven, Lauren and Daniel Culpepper; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Nathaniel and Andrew Culpepper.
     Mr. Culpepper was predeceased by five sisters, Fay Ballew, Nannie Maude Lyles, Fannie May Kent, Lillie Kent and Pearly Culpepper; two brothers, Jael Culpepper and Flonny Culpepper; and a grandson, Zachary Culpepper.
     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Wood Mortuary, conducted by Curtis D. Culpepper and Lisa B. Culpepper. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Section T. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of his son, Donald Culpepper, 106 Leafwood Drive, Taylors. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. Online condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com.1 
Burial*16 January 2008 His body was interred on 16 January 2008 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, Greenville Co., South Carolina.1
