Mrs. Culpepper, a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport, taught school 24 1/2 years before retiring as head of the Home Economics Department at Gulfport High School. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a master's degree. Mrs. Culpepper was sponsor of the National Honor Society from 1993-1995; was president of the Soccer Boosters Club from 1994 to 1995; and was a member of Bayou View Baptist Church in Gulfport. Survivors include her husband, Billy W. Culpepper; a son, Billy J. Culpepper; a daughter, Angela Culpepper, all of Gulfport; and a brother, Richard David Pope of Charlotte, N.C. Visitation was held Tuesday evening at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport. A service will be at 2 p.m. today at Bayou View Baptist Church, followed by burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport. The family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society, 182-A Debuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.2

Obituary*12 May 2012 MACON, GA - Catherine Hose Culpepper, 90, passed away May 10, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M., Monday, May 14 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation and catered reception will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M. Reverend Lewis Stover, Jr. will officiate.
     Mrs. Culpepper was the wife of the late William J. Culpepper. She was born in Macon, the daughter of the late Felton and Clara Hose.
     She is survived by a daughter, Linda Lemois, Aurora, CO, and son, Terry Culpepper, Macon. She has three granddaughters, Pamela, Kellie, and DeAnne; five great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
     She was retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia for more than 26 years.
