Pat was drafted by the "Brits" during World War II to work in a munitions factory for two years. During this service she met her husband, Hilton "Pep" Culpepper, an American G.I. stationed in Reading, England. Subsequent to their marriage in England in 1945, Pat arrived in the U.S. aboard the Queen Mary, braving her new world in Texas and residing in Austin ever since. She proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 1955 and retired from the Texas Employment Commission after many years of service. Pat was active in the Treasure of the Hills Senior Activity Center, as well as a member of the TOTH "Red Hot Mamas" in Cedar Park. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Hilton "Pep" Culpepper; son, David Culpepper and wife Dana; daughter, Marsha Meier and husband J.B. and granddaughters, Alison and Marisa Meier. Pat is also survived by her sister, Lil Allen and husband Jim. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, with burial to follow at the Old Red Rock Cemetery in Red Rock, Texas.2 |
