Obituary*13 September 1962 Jesse Joe CULPEPPER, 73, died on September 6, 1962 after an illness of over two years. Born on April 7, 1889 in Brooks County, the son of George Thomas CULPEPPER and Alice Eugenia ROGERS CULPEPPER, Mr. Culpepper had lived in this county all of his life. He retired from farming several years ago and drove an oil truck until the heart condition which ended his life curtailed his activities. Mrs. Culpepper, the former Vera Virginia BARNES, whom he married on April 7, 1928, survived her husband. Other survivors included three nephews, E. J. CULPEPPER of Jacksonville, Cleo CULPEPPER of Avon Park, Florida, Jack CULPEPPER of Brunswick, Georgia and one niece, Mrs. Allen PARKER of Quitman. Mr. Culpepper left two great nieces and one great nephew. Funeral services were at the Morven Methodist Church September 7, 1962. The Rev. Clifton BROOKS lead the burial service. Active pallbearers were A. A. GODWIN, Harold COOPER, James Lee WATSON, Alan PARROTT, Loones GODWIN, and Pike KENDRICK. Honorary pallbearers were Clayton MCRAE, I. W. WILLIAMSON, J. R. STEPHENS, Myers WILSON, James HARRIS and Hoke SMITH.7

Death*10 December 1996 He died at Venice, Sarasota Co., Florida, on 10 December 1996 at age 78.2
