She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Chester Newton Head Jr; son, Stanley Head and wife, Julie of Carencro, LA; daughter, Marena Head Pizzolatto and husband, Leonard Pizzolatto III of Houma; grandchildren, Brennan Head and wife, Caroline, Justin Head and wife, Jessica, Daniel Head, Derek Pizzolatto and wife, Deanna, Anne-Kathryn Head Johnston and husband, Shawn, and Natalie Pizzolatto Moser and husband, Joseph; and great-grandchildren, Janna, Rebekah, Rachel,Emily, and Justin Head II., Annalee' and Hudson Head, Asher and Tullis Johnston, and Arianna Moser. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. Mrs. Head was a charter member of Mulberry Baptist Church, and charter member of M.A.D.D.. She worked in Team Spirit and was a nominee for Terrebonne's Most Useful Citizen Award and Grande Dame. Evelyn's amazing love and kindness for her family was a rare and beautiful gift that could be observed by all who knew her, but the greatest treasure of her life was her gift of salvation in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The greatest desire of her heart, even unto her last breath, was that all of her family would come to know the Lord as their Savior so that we might all be reunited in heaven with her and with the Lord for all of eternity. God graciously gave her the ability to share from her lips words from her beautiful heart that even in her final moments here on earth she would want everyone to hold onto and remember her by, and those words are ""I love you."" A special heartfelt thanks is extended to Haydel Hospice, Terrebonne General, physicians and surgeons whose devoted care and concern was deeply appreciated. He was born in Crowell, Texas on Aug. 19, 1926, the son of Jesse and Connie (Brumley) Culpepper. He was the owner of Copper Hills Tackle and Gift Shop and Susans Pride of Southwest. “Buddy” loved to fish and go hunting for Quail, Dove and Pheasant. He enjoyed being outdoors with his many good fishing and hunting friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ernest served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy Seebees during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Connie Culpepper; his brother, Homer “Houston” Culpepper; and his sister, Inez Swicegood. He left behind in loving memory his wife of 67 years, Ima Jo Culpepper; his sons, Danny Culpepper (Susan) and Terry Culpepper, and his daughter, Deborah Steele, all of Globe, Ariz; his sister, Evelyn Head of Houma, La; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Private services will be held at later date. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.4 |
